What is Wah Wah IPA?
Jimi Hendrix was famous for using a “Wah” guitar effects pedal (Think of that Voodoo Chile intro). Thanks to him, pretty much every guitarist (including me) has used one since.
The Wah Wah alters the frequency of the guitar giving it a sharp, distinctive edge. I wanted the same from my latest IPA. I make lots of IPAs and the current trend is that they are losing their bitterness. To get more bite in the beer I used Citra, Columbus and Chinook – they really kiss the sky!
I wanted a beer that most brown beer drinkers would detest and hop lovers would fall in love with.
So lets sit along the Watchtower, drink a glass of Wah Wah, and hope Joe is not going anywhere with that gun.
